Information archive of the chemicals recommended for listing in Annex III

The Conference of the Parties considers each chemical recommended for listing by the Chemical Review Committee (CRC) to take a decision whether the chemical in question should be listed in Annex III. In such case, Annex III of the Rotterdam Convention is amended to include the chemical recommended.

The CRC can also recommend the removal of a chemical from Annex III in cases when the listing of the chemical may no longer be justified. The Conference of the Parties will consider the chemical to decide whether it should be removed from Annex III.

In accordance with the procedure laid down in article 8, on, and paragraph 5 of article 22 of the Rotterdam Convention, the Conference of the Parties, at its first meeting held in October 2004, decided to the amendments to Annex III set out in decision RC-1/3.
